Pound.

pound for pound 

your life

and they treat it worthless

pound for pound your breath

they motion it purposeless

pound for pound you try

but no amount values what a life needs

to operate with no stress

your heart you give

pain is placed instead

your effort seems wasted

because life treats your blood like it’s dead

but living water still flows

killing weeds dead cold

giving created life that was once born old

then all at once you’re known

recognition you now hold

against the worlds cold stares you know

hope

changes the focus of a world grown fresh with mold

now they want the invincible cloak you hold

you turn and say

fear not fear not

for anyone can have with I own

for the high must all be made low

This is actually a really bad photo of my girlfriend; photoshopped. It’s grainy and the camera quality was poor. I looked at it for a while not just because I think she is the most beautiful person on the planet but because I wanted to figure out how to improve it. I was reminded of an effect that has been dubbed “pop art” and decided to try it on her photo since it was in such poor state.

The transformation was a combination of the Andy Warhol effect and my own love for red. It was a pretty simple transformation. I like to keep it simple. Post your comments and let me (and my girl) know what you think. :)
